Brief Biography
Born in Khabarovsk. In 1967 graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute in Electrical Equipment of Aircrafts. Worked at the Department of Electric Drives and Automation of Industrial Units in Tomsk Polytechnic Institute. After graduation in 1972 worked as a senior researcher in the Laboratory of Magnetic and Valve Controllers in the Research Institute of Automatics and Electromechanics. Since 1973 - head of the sector, since 1977 - head of the laboratory. In 1980 became the head of the Industrial Electronics Department of Tomsk Institute of Control Systems and Radio Electronics. The same year organized a research and educational complex which consisted of the Department, the Student Design Office, and the Fund for Social Assistance to Employees of Higher Schools and Enterprises. Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics, Rector of the University (1999-2009).
