Career: worked as an instructor of the Executive Committee of the City/Town Soviet of People's Deputies, a secretary of Sverdlovsk Executive Committee of the District Soviet of People's Deputies, a secretary of the Executive Committee of the City/Town Soviet of People's Deputies.

1990 -1991 - an assistant chief of scientific innovation center of Irkutsk City/Town Executive Committee. Then he worked as a deputy of Director General in the international exhibition complex “Sibexpotsentr”.

Since November 1997 - a plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in Irkutsk Oblast.

In August, 2000 - a federal inspector in Tomsk Oblast.

Since March 25, 2004 - a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Representative of the Tomsk Oblast Administration.

He is married, has got two sons, four grandchildren.
