Born in Mordovia. Graduated from Kuibyshev Aviation Institute. Since 1991 - head of Line Production Administration of Gas-Trunk Pipelines. Since 1997 - chief engineer, Deputy Director General of Volgotransgaz (Nizhny Novgorod), the biggest subsidiary of Gazprom. Since 1999 - Deputy Director General in transportation and use of gas at Tomskgazprom. In 2003 took the position of the Director General of Tomsktransgaz.
